The Monroe County Assessor’s Office is responsible for administering fair and timely assessment of all real property in Monroe County, IL. This includes:
- Observing and abiding by the Illinois Department of Revenue and Illinois State Statues
- Documenting finished evaluations for the County’s Board of Review to aid in:
- Timely tax computation
- Billing
- Providing accurate taxpayer information and assessments through mail correspondence and publication
- Answering questions involving property calculation records
- Assisting those wishing to obtain information about the sale of property in Monroe County
Monroe County assesses real property on a quadrennial basis.
